A long, long time ago, I used to write blog posts.

They weren't necessarily any good. But they were written with joy and wonder. Written in a time before Facebook and Twitter and everything else that screwed up the original premise of the internet. Written in the *Cluetrain Manifesto* era, when we truly believed that the web would change everything for good.

I was mainlining RSS at the time. Desperately learning about the web and its effect on culture. Geeking out on web 2.0 and podcasting and the startups and web design. And I had to be part of it. So i started up a trusty old wordpress.com blog, and set sail.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped writing. I mean, I've shared lots of content. I've written a few posts here and there. Some of them not altogether bad. I've done a spurts of journalling. Posted a weekly links roundup newsletter thingy for about 2 years. Even had myself a tumblr for a while, posting amusing pics, interesting links, and pre-spotify mixtapes.

But I haven't 'hosted' a blog for a long time now. And for some reason, I'm feeling the urge to start blogging again.

Maybe it's because I've just moved to San Francisco with my family, and am feeling more inspired than I have in a long time. Maybe because we're living in an incredibly unique moment. Where artificial intelligence is taking off, at the exact same time that our planet is collapsing. What a time to be alive!

Or maybe it's just because I miss blogging. On the blogosphere. Must be 5 years since I've thought about that word. A word that's so awkard in retrospect, but it's what we used to call it. The "blogosphere".

And it was great! To me, the early era of blogging was a total marvel. All of a sudden, and for a brief moment, it gave the power back to the people. Empowered to share and link our ideas, thoughts, and perspectives. I'm showing my age, but I'll never forget the sheer excitement of my first trackback.

And now, as I stare mindlessly at some tiktok video or instagram reel, I've begun to realise that I've lost sight of what got me so excited about the internet in the first place - the simple ability to share an idea, in written form.

So I'm going to try start writing again.

What am I going to write about?

- The UX of AI. Yes, snooze-fest, I know. Everyone is writing about AI these days, evern more than they were writing about UX not long ago. But I'm really interested in how we experience AI, and how that will evolve really quickly, at least from an interface perspective. I am by no means an expert in this area, so stick around to watch me awkwardly formulate new thoughts and ideas about it.

- Linking / thinking about interesting words, pictures or sounds that I've read or stumbled upon.

- Sharing some of the thoughts about Design and Product that have been swirling in my head for too long.

Not sure how often I'll post, and my posts won't necessarily be any good. But would love for you to stick around.
